While this wasn’t the final design picked (a couple of small tweaks were made) we think this concept for the Middleton Tavern is pretty darn cool. It’s a solid fit for the venue’s recent makeover, bringing that fresh, modern energy right into the visuals.

The design is bold, modern and creates a casual, welcoming environment for those of all ages. We really took the time to weave in elements that nod to Middleton’s local heritage, creating something that feels both fresh and connected to the community. With the brief of having a similar look and feel to Swell Brewery, this concept consists of a hand drawn logo of a relaxed surfer to draw a connection to the town’s surf culture — relaxed, beachy, and authentic.

We also made local photography a key part of the branding, not just to celebrate the area, but to give the Tavern a unique edge over their competitors. It’s all about showing off Middleton’s landscape but also creates an engaging, conversational point especially when staring at the stunning new views from the upstairs balcony.
